Eclectic Design

Clad in Siberian larch this stylish modern bungalow, nestled in the Sussex countryside, features floor to ceiling sliding glass doors, polished concrete floors, internal timber and galvanized steel finishing along with mid-century modern and funky eclectic furnishing to create a wonderfully warm and textured interior.

Open Spaces

The wide open spaces feature a swimming pool and hot tub, Airstream trailer, a paddle tennis court, zip wire through the wood and a sunken trampoline. Through the woodland to the rear there are amazing views of the beautiful Tillingham Valley. Seasonal flowers grow widely, including wild orchids, bluebells, primrose and violets.

Local Area

Set within a secluded wood in the middle of the East Sussex countryside Starvecrow Cottage is also close to Camber Sands beach and the beautiful historic town of Rye with its cobbled streets, medieval church and beautifully preserved historic houses from medieval, Tudor and Georgian times.

Architecture

Designed by HÛT Architecture, Starvecrow Cottage has featured extensively on television and in the national and international press as well in various photo and film shoots. The house is also listed in the latest edition of the Pevsner Architectural Guide, perhaps the most authoritative text available on Britain’s architecture.
